A State Sports Grant application is nearly complete and will be sent in by December 13. Should this grant be approved, a nicer tent could be rented, better awards offered, special promotional efforts could take place, spectator boats could be rented, etc.

Obviously we need a lot of volunteers. Many of you LDBSA member have stated you'd be willing to help. Please look at the committee list and notify the person chairing that committee to volunteer.

1-3-08 Rich Barker has taken care of contacting and reserving several blocks of hotel rooms in Stevens Point.

Stewart Doty e-mail has been corrected.

3-9-08 We did not qualify for the Sports Grant, but were allocated $500 through the Steven's Point area Visitor and Convention Bureau. This will help cover the costs of renting the Lions Shelter.
