LDBSA has something to offer anyone!
The Lake DuBay Sailing Association is a group of sailors from Central Wisconsin sharing the knowledge and enjoyment of sailing with others. Through our activities and friendships we provide the opportunity to improve sailing skills, enjoy the beautiful waters of Lake DuBay, meet new and interesting people, and challenge the mind and body – all while preserving the surrounding environment.

Lake Dubay is between Stevens Point, Wausau, and Marshfield. We normally launch for our club activities at the east launch just north of the dam.

We have a boat yard for dry sailing so you can keep your sailboat nearby fully rigged and ready to go. The fees for the yard are very affordable, so check with a club officer for details.
Ever wonder what racing is all about?
Racing is the best way to improve your boat handling skills and to learn about sailing. By sailing with other boats you will learn how to make your sailboat go faster in any direction, to learn sail trim techniques, and to learn how to adjust your boat for varying wind conditions. And it’s FUN! Club racing with LDBSA is laid back and friendly so every one has a great time.
Club racing is generally one Saturday per month and two Tuesday evenings per month. We host one two-day regatta in August - The Governor's Cup, which is in it's 25th year for 2006.
Our races for a day of club racing cost only $5.00 for members and $10.00 for non-members. The Governor's Cup is $25.00 for racing with T-shirts and meals priced ala-carte.
We follow the Racing Rules of Sailing (available on line and through U.S. Sailing) and will coach any newcomer through the basics. Come give it a try!
Social events include a spring and fall banquet, picnics after races, and events such as social cruising events to the Apostle Islands, poker runs, and fun races. We also trailer to other lakes for variety and to experience the adventure of cruising. Different club members generally plan these events and anyone wanting to participate can do so. Our social calendar can vary throughout the season so it’s important to review the news section or calendar on the website.
